technical X5 F15 Air con vents opening and closing on driver's side :/

Hey guys,

Has anyone encountered and fixed seemingly randomly opening and closing driver's side air-con valves on their X5 (F15)?

Please see videos below to see what I mean:

The driver's valve (for lack of a better term at the moment), will open and close as though it's being instructed to. It's not like a motor fault or something is obstructing it.

Perhaps a malfunctioning sensor or something?

Probably a sensor fault.
The shutters will close when they detect pollutants and then attempt to close the system to recirculate air. if a sensor is faulty it will cause this.
if you scan the car for errors, it should come up as a sensor fault on climate system.
