X1 Engine vibrations

My 2.0D auto N84 engine has developed a vibration from around 1700rpm
Nothing there when in neutral, only under load. Can one check engine mounts while in situ?
It was also mentioned there is a rubber coupling on the drive train that could be perishing.
Any suggestions or similar experiences would be appreciated.

What year is your car as i am not aware of an N84 2l diesel motor. N47 and B47. What is the mileage? Could be gearbox mountings as well.
