I personally like the wood trim in the E34 simply because it is REAL wood, but after a couple of years and some mods later I think the matt black would give a nice facelift to the interior

Don't be singing this song after the colour change...:)

Black is black
I want my baby back
It's gray, it's gray
Since she went away, Ooh-Ooh
What can I do
'Cause I-I-I-I-I'm feelin' blue

If I had my way
She'd be back today
But she don't intend
To see me again, Ooh-Ooh
What can I do
'Cause I-I-I-I-I'm feelin' blue

I can't choose
It's too much to lose
My love's too strong
Wow! Maybe if she
would come back to me
Then it can't go wrong

Bad is bad
That I feel so sad
It's time, it's time
That I found peace of mind, Ooh-Ooh
What can I do
'Cause I-I-I-I-I'm feelin' blue

I can't choose
It's too much to lose
My love's too strong
Wow! Maybe if she
would come back to me
Then it can't go wrong

Black is black
I want my baby back
It's gray, it's gray
Since she went away, Ooh-Ooh
What can I do
'Cause I-I-I-I-I'm feelin' blue
'Cause I-I-I-I-I'm feelin' blue

I would (wood) go for the matt black

Lol, seems like someone else likes to play with words as well.

Thanks guys. The general feeling is to go with matt black.

it does make a difference.

Also, if you don't sand it, you do get a matt black finish with the wood grain pattern. Kinda like it. (Looks like my speaker cabinets at home)

Let's see how many guys here remember this awesome song.

leave it wood i dont think the black adds anything to the interior... because the interior is very old school i think it looks better with the wood... with the matt black it lookes like one of those ladys with her eyebrows in the middle of her forehead because she has had too many face lifts...

The paint on the car is so dull, I think piano black will be a bit much. Everything else on the car is matt.:)

You know where I stand, prefer the original wood trim. Would be nice to sand it and stain it black though, so the wood grain still sort of shows through.

I've seen a glossy black finish and it looked really awesome! Will find a picture...

The beauty of it all is that if next month you want something else, pop it off and change the colourscheme.

I am think of buying a second set (original wood colour), and stack it away in the garage somewhere.

"sand it and stain it black"

i think you should stain it darker did not think of that earlier... maybe not black because you have quite a light colour interior...

The black would help the inside to look newer and nicer, but good idea on getting an extra set of original woods

I am not a big wood fan (to each his own though, and I will never diss someones wood trim), but I am not 100% sold on the matt black finish either.

Carbon wrap is a complete no-no. Again, I like it, but not on my car.

It's actually quite tricky to match something up with the grey interior.

Think I will experiment some more this weekend.

:nono: Got to keep it wood. It's the real deal not the plastic stuff they putting in the newer cars. Unless of course you can shell out for a Bently that is.
