Window Washer Warning Light

The other day I got into my car and the windscreen washer warning icon lights up on my dash. Ok I get home later that day and yes the water reservoir was low. I topped the water up and the warning light still stays on???

The washer still works and is not broken before and after refill.

Is there a reset of some sort I need to do or is the sensor damaged?

the sonsor have a pivot. Maybe just stuck.

It is a crap job but good idea to get to the tank and clean it and sensor and pumps etc out. My pump stop working while ago and turnout the was gunk in my tank the block in pump intake. pump self was fine. Not hard task just crappy to get to the tank

Thanks whattingh, guess i'm gonna have to set some time aside to get this done ...

if its an e90 you probably have to take it to the dealer to get the light reset :fencelook:

Lucky for me then it is an e46.
