Will I regret this?

I am considering trading in my 2010 E90 330d (M Sport) with 81000km for a 2013 F30 320d (M Sport) with 10000km.

I love my 330d :inlove:, but I took the 320d for a test drive and was quiet impressed, but obviously it lacks in power compared to the 330d. I will be using it as a daily, so the saving in fuel consumption is quite inviting as is the "extended" motorplan compared to my current drive.

Any advice? Will it be a clever move, or "jeuk my gat net"? :bangdesk:

Why not get the F30 330d  my 320d is fun but down on power really all the cheap turbo hatches are quicker..

Get the 320d, and have it tuned by Schnitzer to keep the motorplan intact!! :pimp:

the fact that you test drove the car and that you happy with it makes its a good move.

i'm sure the pro's outway the con's going with this move

The 330d is quite economical as it is. Is the 320d that much more economical that it would convince you to change? I would keep the 330d. It hasn't even been run in yet:rollsmile: You should weigh up the pros and cons from a financial perspective then take it from there. i.e would you really see the savings from lower fuel consumption in real terms after taking into account the price difference between the 2 cars? What if you keep the price difference between the 2 cars aside for maintenance of the 330d once it's out of motorplan?

So my view is this - compare what you currently paying on the E90 330d and compare it to what you would be paying on the F30 if the F30 is significantly more than it's not worth it.

The E90 330d is significantly more powerful, I think you may get frustrated sitting in the 320d, you can also extend your MP in the E90 so basically work out the costs and if it's more on a monthly basis then not worth it in my view

You must do it my friend. the car has more than enough power, acompanied with fuel economy. *Edited by admin*

Clearly you're not going for power and maybe you're not using the 330d to its full potential, if so then get the F30 and MP. As a daily it's a good car it has both the power and it's economical, but you're going to miss the Torque of the 330d

Hmmm... tough call, I think it comes down to the monies if you are in two minds after driving them both (as someone mentioned above).

Picture this though - your see a gap and floor the loud pedal expecting a surge that you are used to... but it does not come (well, at the magnitude you were expecting!!!) Can you live with that?

That part is tough...possibly could not live with it....(lack of instant power)

6 months down the line you will be doing research on which tuner to use for your F30 320d.....as you will be short of it....

I will not trade the 330d BEAST for the 320d! Your 330d is still new, in years and km's. You will be losing 140 nm and an odd 50kW!!! If you want I can lend you my other car....a UNO Mia...Untill you are frustrated and run back to your 330d.... But in the end you have to do what makes YOU happy!

Before you let go of the 330d, find someone who has a "tuned" one and go for a test drive - it is really something else. THEN decide if you still want the 320d...

Thanks for the advice guys. I start to lean to keeping the 330d. This morning gave it a good wash and wax, and then for an outing on the highway. I'm in love again :inlove::inlove:

@MSM: if I wasn't so scared of losing my motorplan, I would have had it tuned long time ago

Maybe it is time to have the wife's X5 tuned (out of motorplan last month) :fencelook:
