Yeah, I am moving forward with that. Probably gonna have a test drive either tomorrow or friday, time permitting. Hopefully by the end of the week, i have a new car. Both the cars you considered are good. Dont waste time and go drive them. Then you know what you like and what should be on your radar. SAV or sedan. You will only know once you drive them.
Exciting man! Look forward to your rides thread for the grand reveal, and your thoughts for either car.Yeah, I am moving forward with that. Probably gonna have a test drive either tomorrow or friday, time permitting. Hopefully by the end of the week, i have a new car.
Considering its excellent condition, the value that it offers, and the piece of mind by purchasing from a fellow fanatic, personally, this would be the best option especially when compared against the other examples that have been posted in this thread.
Overall the drive felt good, the cabin noise at times was loud but not too unbearable. It might be due to the tyres. I will have to negotiate the price because the tyres need to be replaced soon and the brakes as well. The power is quite decent. Though the gearbox can feel a bit laggy at times. The sound system is fantastic. Overall it's a great car. I'm just a bit concerned about these two DTCs. Not sure if it's something major especially the selector lever one.Seems to me that was due to a low battery.
Otherwise that car for over 100 000km is in really good nic.
How did you find the drive? Did it impress or excite you Did you listen to the sound system?
Im also keen to hear your feedback once you drive the 320D to compare your thoughts on build quality, drive, feel etc
Buy the 520d..Overall the drive felt good, the cabin noise at times was loud but not too unbearable. It might be due to the tyres. I will try the 320 and then make a decision.

Mini looks like a lady car, but you like a t-cross.. Very interesting 👌Bro if I wanted to show off, I can go and buy a golf GTI or even a polo GTI, trust me people in South Africa will be more impressed with that than a 320D or X1. If I dont like a Mini, I dont like it. You cant force someone to like something. To me, Mini looks like a lady car. Everyone has a preference. I want something that looks decent and has decent power. Show me an alternative and I will consider it. I was considering the t-cross as well but its hard to find the 1.5Tsi variant in that price range. I am a guy in my mid 20s, I want something that looks nice.
T-cross is basically a mini tiguan. If I could find a decent R-line 4 motion 2.0 tiguan in my budget, I would consider it. I'm just trying to be realistic. Mini and t-cross are worlds apart atleast in my eyes. It's subjective.Mini looks like a lady car, but you like a t-cross.. Very interesting 👌
So it seems like a small but annoying issue.![]()
People try to justify themselves instead of just going sorry not comfortable enough with myself to drive a Mini.Mini looks like a lady car, but you like a t-cross.. Very interesting 👌
No my friend, it is not. It looks like the feminine miniature version of the Tiguan, if I'm being honest.. Doesn't help that every single one of the 10 odd I know, are driven by ladies 😂T-cross is basically a mini tiguan. I know of atleast 10 Indian uncles that drive a t-cross. So there's that. I mean if I don't like a Mini, I don't like it. It's just something I wouldn't go for. Likewise I would never a buy a Renault kwid or any of their cars. My mum really likes a Mini, so that's the next car I'm planning on getting next. But for me personally I wouldn't get it. Certain things have preconceived notions which are hard to get rid, example I will never buy a Polo or Golf in my life due to what happened. My 2 cents. No my friend, it is not. To each their own at the end of day. Only people that haven't experienced the driving dynamic of a Mini, will judge it purely on stereotypes.
Personally, I am happy for you.Personally, I feel very pretty driving the Mini around and that's all that counts.
