We cannot forget the past. Even Mmusi is angry about HZ. DA must fix the house before trying to fix their neighbour.

We need Radical Changes on the economy. All of us we must benefit.

No body is asking you to forget the past.

But lets focus on the CRISIS in front of us right NOW.

If you do not, there will be NO economy o for ANYONE. Do you understand that it is the POOREST that will suffer the most if this current situation is not fixed?

Yes. I agree but this will be fixed. Give Gigaba a chance.

The man is a school teacher and has clear ties with the Guptas and we must give him a chance? Gordhan was the man that could have saved a sinking ship, but now we've effectively handed over the keys to our treasury to the Guptas

Gigaba is the Political Head. Treasury staff still the same. DG have been there for years. He will be able to handle that ministry.

Is this guy for real? :hammerhead::smashScreen:

what do you mean?

So in your opinion DA firing Zille is more pressing than the entire Economy collapsing??...please maan

Give Gigaba a chance to do what???...So you reckon handling a trillion rand budget can be handled by school teacher who is a Gupta employee?

Open you eyes VendaBoy

Exactly! Zille's tweet was wrong yes, agreed, but her tweet did not put this country into junk status. ANC's illegitimate president did that.
So Mmusi must fix a tweet before dealing with issues that are right now more important. Zille is nothing compared to what is going on with our country at the moment.
DA has its house in order, ANC needs to start cleaning up!!

The Democratic Alliance has indicated that it will march to Beyers Naude Square, Johannesburg on Friday.

In Pretoria, protesters will march from Church Square to the Union Buildings. The march will start at 12:00. In Cape Town they will gather outside Parliament at 12:00 with other organisations.

Vendaboy.

If this gets me banned so be it.

I am so sick and tired as a white person being blamed for all the woes of black people the fucking world over. For fucksakes stop with the fucking victim mentality. Always seeking to blame others for your station in life.

Is it the white man's fault that the black population of this country has ballooned from roughly 23mil in 1994 to almost 41mil in 2015? Did the white man make black people rut away and produce mouths that cannot be fed?

There's 27% unemployment in this country and largely in the black population precisely because the black population has almost fucking DOUBLED. Whose fucking fault is that? The white man??? Seriously??

The white man is blamed for all the woes of black people who refuse to accept ANY responsibility for themselves.

Do you want to label my comment racist now? Because I DARED to point out in inconvenient truth.

I deal in facts. Go check the facts.

White people in this country are the scape goat. When all the whites have been "dealt with" what then? You'll turn on each other but still want to blame someone else no doubt. Look what happened in Mozambique. The white Portuguese were chased out and then Renamo and Frelemo turned on each other in a power struggle.

GET THIS IN YOUR HEAD. WE ARE ALL SOUTH AFRICANS. I WAS BORN HERE JUST LIKE YOU. MY KIDS ARE SOUTH AFRICAN JUST LIKE YOURS.

For fucksakes stop BLAMING and let's focus on the future not the past. Can you change what happened 1 nanosecond ago? No you can't but you can LEARN from it and build a FUTURE that avoids the repetition of those mistakes / atrocities. There isn't a sound thinking white person alive who wouldnt say that apartheid was atrocious. I am not diminishing ANYTHING about the atrocity that it was. BUT IT CANNOT BE CHANGED. EVER.

Mods do whatever you wish with this post. I'm fucking done.

Cheers

Guys lets keep this on track and keep it clean. This is a thread about who is joining the march on Friday. We each have political views and no doubt those attending the march will be practicing them. Let's not turn this into a race-war or class-war.

Lol some of these comments are interesting. The concept of being fit for purpose is widely used in most industry's I wonder how most people would feel if they had to undergo a critical medical procedure eg: heart transplant but the surgeon had an argument with the chief of staff and was fired and a diesel mechanic has taken his place. I suppose you can give him a chance tho since blood is comparable to oil and arteries comparable to fuel lines a few clamps and you good to go :chef:

And in breaking news the ANC have sent out search parties to look for spines for Cyril and Gwede.

Pathetic. All the posturing about standing up for what is right and against corruption and yadda yadda yadda.

And we as civil society are going to bring about change by marching in the street.

The dictatorship is installed right under the noses of the democracy.....

But least we forget whose to blame ne.....

No more words to adequately describe how fucked we really are.

Nobody is stopping you from supporting the ANC on this forum Venda Boy. In fact it may surprise you to learn how many ANC supporters are on here, some of which have had family or even personally given blood for the liberation movement. However, you also need to be prepared for people to disagree with you (as you are also disagreeing with the views of other members). The ANC itself has factions speaking for and against our president and his actions...

I am appealing to all participants in this thread to PLEASE refrain from turning this into a race battle. Focus on the merits of an argument without resorting to the race card, straw men and gross generalisations, which are all frankly cop-outs and buttons that nobody here wants pushed.

Back on topic, from what I can tell so far, it seems to be the smaller companies supporting this and the big corporates are taking an 'apolitical' stance and not even allowing work from home (we need to take a day's leave).

Irony is that, that very same movement including the ANC have made history of a very painful and bloody battle to resist oppression, inequlity, limitation of freedom of speech and unfairness and fought for the right to a democracy....This same movement has forgotten what its values and now using intimidation tactics to oppress the national population who resist it.

Pathetic bunch of thieving hypocritical people. For those that still support a person of this calibre just illuminates the values and ideals that they believe and would perpetuate in society.

Im sure Mr Teflon Don aka Zumatelo has threatened his MPs with undated resignation letters and told if they vote against him they are gone. So this snake will slither away yet again unscathed.

Businesses are taking a huge knock just after it was announced that the finance minister had been fired.
I myself lost alot of money this week doing a foreign payment.
We are an importing country.
I don't understand how you can support someone who had done so much of damage.
The food prices, fuel and local goods and services are now going to increase.
The country has lost billions.
Can you at least understand that?

The sad truth is that the people at the top protecting this corrupt fool are themselves insulated from the reality of people on the ground. They don't care or are just too short sighted to care.

The most vulnerable section of the population are going to be affected first. But they won't vote out the ANC. Why? Because the "free and fair" elections are anything but that.

My parents char lady is a staunch DA supporter and in the lead up to the municiple elections was subjected to awful intimidation. Her child was harassed at school.

IFP leader Buthelezi came out this week with comments on precisely this subject. He stated that none of the elections since 1994 have been free and fair despite what the IEC claim each time.

For that reason the ANC will never be voted out. We have been a benign dictatorship since 1994. The liberation movement that the ANC was has morphed into a power hungry greedy and self serving organised crime "family" with a brilliant marketing division. However when the marketing team fall short, there's always the old "crime family tactic" of violent intimidation by the "enforcers" just to ensure that the voters stay in line whether they want to or not.

What baffles me is how educated folks for (example on this forum) who clearly have something to lose as a result of the inevitable higher interest rates, increased fuel costs and food prices, are supporting the crime boss and his blatant in the open looting.

Add to that the disappointment of seeing Ramaphosa and Mantashe coming out strongly rebuking the decisions of the crime boss last week then yesterday turning 180 and supporting the douche. That sealed our fate completely.

Remember 5th April 2017 as the day we went banana......
