Who had the track M5 again?

I think all the naysayers are just jealous.

The Ascari A10 has a 625hp version of the S62 engine, all that was changed is induction, exhaust, cams, rods and pistons. I think it is quite possible to get 600hp on the fly, with some mods, the S62 is seriously restricted in stock form.

This leads me to ask, why isn't there a standard concerning dyno's and all the related stuff such as correction factors, so that everyone's measurements are sort of the same?
(I mean this is the case with most (if not all) physical quantities that are measured)

No. And everyone is not the same... But yes, it should be standardized in my opinion.

I know they are not all the same, which was the reason I asked, why?

I do not get the point of all the bashing. If a autostyle wing works on a race car then use it. No point in paying R15,000 to have the carbon one. Race cars cost money to run, savings count and I am sure E39er does not have a bottomless budget.
Disputing the power figure is silly as we do not even know the specs of this motor. Its like saying the V12 found in the old 750 cannot make power, then you find Mclaren F1's pushing close on to 800bhp with the same base motor.

I'm not bashing :)

I would just like to know what has been done to get to 600hp. Seems like a mighty impressive build :)

Talking about Gizmo calling the rear wing tupperware hehe

Would also like to know if the lifters are solid? I once did a search on the Ascari A10 with the 625bhp. I am not even sure if any where sold.
