Which fuel gives the best performance?

i filled up my e30-1990 320i today at bp, they no longer supply lrp, only ulp. Filled up with ulp and the throttle response feels better as well as acceleration. dunno, seemed a bit weird at first as I thought it would lag a bit without the added metals, but it actually drives better, anyone else noticed this on an older car ?

I found that Total is the best for my Megane and the wife's Swift Sport...gives best perfonce and about 30-50km more per a tank.....

Ok I have done my research on this

Remember all this is circumstantial and not cientific proven

Firstly I spoke to a BMW Tech and He told me that he suspects some Fuels to cause Sludge build up. I mean he says there are Cars of the same year use same oil same mileage but some have very bad sludge build up while others have nothing. Obvious he also asked the customers and experimanted himself probably to see. Total is a suspect for sludge build up for it has an additive that causes even the intake to form more than usual residue for it lubricates valves they claim. Yes and your mileage do Increase per tank Ill confirm to that

Shell Gives better performance and Less mileage per tank with No sludge buildup. The techie also recons Shell. I also Use shell

BP is one of BMW's sponsors and he cant coment on it yet nor do I because I use Shell

Just my 2c

Switched from Shell V-Power 95 to Engen Primax 95 on the Focus ST. Only use Caltex 93 LRP on the Corolla.

I did the same....I used Shell for as long as I can remember until 2months ago I was told to try Engen Primax 95....
Unbelievable difference:thumbs: For me it felt like I had octane booster in:joy:
Definately a difference in performance:thumbs:

shell vpower works on mine, i tried engen but wasnt happy with that.

it might be cos the car was tuned/softwared with shell in the tank?? different octane levels perhaps?
