What Software or chip would work on a 116i?

Jarryd, some advice. You can't just do software on a small NA engine, you need to do a Stage 1 conversation (air filter and exhaust) to get more power with the software.
You won't get more than 1kw just doing software on a 116i.
A piggyback on a 130i you get gains up to 10hp (7kw).

I had to do Stage 1 on my 1300 Corsa before doing the software, later on I did gasflowed head and bottom end. Went from 55kw to 89kw. Didn't do turbo/charger.

You planning to change your car in a years time, it's not worth doing any mods for a year except the air filter, and maybe decat.
I did the air filter on Carbon within 3 months I got her, 5 years ago. I noticed an improvement in better fuel consumption and response.
This past year I've done decat and removed the middle box.

this reminds me of the exhaust thread you made... people advised you and you did it anyway...

then you changed your mind after living with it for a bit and did pretty much what was advised by forum members :fencelook:

its your money but i would seriously look at trading up before spending any more on modding this car...

@ Carbon and the rest, i know how to add power and mod a car , i had a Fiesta ST that i completely transformed into a little monster pushing 135kw and 216nm , from CAI,ceramic branch, exhaust,Cams,SW - Suspension and alles.

BUT you guys are right , il just wait till end of the year and trade up

Hey Guys.

I know most of you will say, sell the car and get a 130 or 135i , but I cannot do that right now.

so in the mean time I want to get a few quotes for basically a ecu re-map or something just to get a extra few horses.

What software or plug ins work and are reliable on the one series?

Thanks
Jarryd

As the famous Colin Chapman said: "to go faster, just add lightness"...
Remove the back seats and dump the spare wheel..that would make the car faster!!!!:joy:

Would also help to get some lightweight aftermarket wheels... :=):

he did a 116i in my gf area and he has a CAi,exhaust and this re-map and got 97kw and 162nm , so there is hope

No hassles at all. I am with you on modding it. Giving a underpowered car even 5% more might just be what it needed to make it enjoyable. People these days are infatuated with max power and times and what is worth it in terms of modding and gains. For each there own.
I chipped my 318is and the extra 9wkw and 20nm it gained made it a different car and far more enjoyable.
