What is this E90 325i really worth ?

Hi there

I saw this car yesterday, it is really supper supper clean with hardly a mark anywhere on the car, still smells a little like a new car. It's a 2006 325i, 56 000kms MP til september 4 brandnew bridgestones.

It has no extras no sunroof, shuttle, PDC or Xenons etc.

It's at a dealership for 190k - IMO way too much, but what do you guys think I should pay for this car ??

What adds to the price is Motorplan... no doubt!

Still I think it's about 40k too much

Hey man, I sold my 07 sport pack auto with roof with 72000 on clock also was mint and got 190000 for it, so this is a expensive buy, check autotrader I saw another but also sportpack and roof also silver for 210000 at a rep dealer

It's a very nice looking car even though it is lacking some of the toys, but I do think that it's way overpriced! Low mileage and I reckon you could still extend the motorplan for one more year. Personally I would keep looking unless they agree to a sizeable discount!

I'd say R150k. At most you can extend the MP until next year (since it's a 2006), so even if km's are low even extended MP will expire on time so it's (MP) not worth too much of a premium on this car.

TransUnion's opinion:

New Price = R309 000

Trade = R144 100 + R14 410(low mileage) = R158510
Retail = R167 400 + R16 740(low mileage) = R184140

Thanks Promotec, Phillip and MSM for the replies, I was thinking around the 160 / 165K mark so that still seems too much.

@ Kishore what did you replace the 325 with ?

@ Evilsee - very fond of your car, pity we so far apart so I can't pop down and see it - come up then give it to me at around this price and I'll take it.

Personally, if I were in the market for a used model, I'd go for as many extras as possible - sunroof, pdc etc. Used cars probably do not have that much a price difference for extras as new cars do.

I bought a BMW on the spur of the moment. No doubt, a real beauty but I still wish I had the sunroof, pdc, etc. like my brother's BMW. And we paid about the same price.

Look around, and of course, get one at a better price! :=):

I understand, I mean I had to go to jo'burg to get the car I wanted, I would imagine durban has a lot less choice.

If you want we can ask someone on the forum to inspect my car and they can send their report to you directly.
