went to tarlton last night!!!

So I decided to go to Tarlton last night. Let me start with the car.
Bmw 135 2009 auto, stock std except for acs back box, 27000km and stock runflat tires!
This was my very first time at Tarlton, only my second time at a track and my first time in a bmw auto...

So let me start by saying this is a lot harder than I thought and what it looks, when those lights start going it go time in seconds... Traction is almost zero in first gear and the 400m is langer than it seems, ha ha

So for the runs:
1st. Ran against a 330d. I did 14,1 at 165.7km/h, didn't see what he did but was about 6cars behind me if not more...

2nd. Ran against a golf 5. I did 13.71 at 172.2, he did 15.6 at 157

3rd. Ran against a focus RS. I did 14.0 at 167.8. He did 13.76 at 171.2

4th ran against a CLK 63amg. I did 13.9 at 166.6 he did 14.3 did get the speed

So all in all a good night. All my runs were done in 1st gear launch with dtc pressed once.
Didn't think it was so hard so for all the guys with good times, well done!

Yeah dont worry about it mate, the RS has custom SW map and induction and de-cat etc so you done very well considering its modded and you are stock :thumbsup:

No I didn't loose to him on tv but they were there to shoot some show and that ford is quick and the oke knows how to drive the track as he did consistent 13.7 13.8 run after run.

@Nikhil, what's up dude, that stuff is harder than it looked but the bmw ran welll, forgot to say I ran a s3 aswell and beat him to, so the car goes, its more the Driver, haha

But at 29k on the clock, do you think it belongs on a drag strip ?

Perhaps I am just a bit nuts.. but I dont get it.. ?

I am at 31 000Ks and you know what i have under the hood and boot. Maxed out with mods. This car begs to be modded and driven hard. Life is short and the new M5 is still a year away:thumbsup:

Its taken me 30 000km to get to the track, have been racing my car since I got it. But now that I've been there I will definitely go back, its awesome running there and all the people actually race not like when you go to a illegal thing and everyone just wants to look and not race!!!

My wife won't like it coz now its going to cost money again, just bought some semis for my car!!!
