Well, my 330d swallowed one swirl flap.

Hi all. Received my car from CP and she is running perfect. It's so nice to have the car back. Went for a short drive and am very happy so far. Believe it or not, they even washed the car!!! Fuel consumption from EL to FBT 5.2 l/100km. Will update when I was on a decent drive.

Omg Clutchie - that's so meticulous, it's unreal.

Hats off to you dude - you really seem to know your stuff. I'm sure that kind of detail would make a few guys on the forum reconsider just having any old mechanic / shop work on the internals of their engines.

Keep up the good work... And someone should consider documenting this stuff for an FAQ section or something like that..

@Barkie, Good stuff ! Glad you are happy ! was very nice meeting you today, you have an awesome passion for cars and I am only happy to have helped you get your baby up and running again ! :) let me know how everything goes .. would love to hear back from you after you have put some mileage on the car !

@Billybob, thanks alot ! my team is really good at what they do so I can't take all the credit .. it takes a decent amount of teamwork, attention and good engineering to put a car back together properly ..

@Sankekur, lol .. I wish I could take more pics .. but there simply isn't enough time .. so I just catch bits here and there .. haha .. wouldn't it be nice to have someone like uber be there just taking pics ?

@ Clutchy, Yes it was really nice meeting and chatting some more about the stuff we enjoy. Will for sure get back to you later after I done some more bonding with the car. With the new flywheel , flex and diff bush replaced the drivetrain feels like a new one!

Magic work there my friend!!! Only bad news is that I have some more work for you in the form of my wify's car!

Thumbs up for Clutchy!!:praise:

It must feel good to be reunited with your car Barkie!, hats off to clutchie for the serious attention to detail, as well as being willing to display his work in progress. Some shops expect the client to "sit in the waiting room or leave the car, we'll call you later." You basically got a new, stronger engine now.

@tito1, Yes a very nice feeling indeed. In the meantime I was using my wife's 320i and my 19 year old Mazda that I just bought back. Just been on a small trip out of town and everything is perfect. Will have to control my right bootie to not do all the wrong things for the next 2000km. I know some say you do not need to run in the engine, but I am still from the old school. Sure it can not be bad. Not sitting at 120 or so, just keeping in mind that I am driving a car with a very new engine! Clean inside and out.

@Barkie, congrats on a new car. keep us updated on the progress, and hows the car running, though with the quality of workmanship that Clutchy showed, I think that it will be all good moving forward.

@Clutchy, great work. Its really good to see that some mechanics still take pride in their work and put the customer, not profit, first.

Just a small update.
As I am working without a break this year I did not use the car much. Using my Kalahari Ferrari in town. Went to EL, Clutchy's hometown yesterday and the car is running like a dream. Still not driving hard, only short bursts of power every few km's. Fuel consumption driving like this is very nice and was on 5.3l/100km on yesterday's trip. Will update when I use it for a trip to PE in the near future.

Thanks again for Clutcy and his great team who worked on my car.

Think this will be the last update. Went to PE the past weekend and the car is just perfect. Only done 1100km now and will swop the oil and filter at about 2000km.

Thanks all for chatting and also Clutchy and his team for a great job!!
