Have you tried Zeemax? http://www.zeemax.co.za/ they are based in cape town and better priced then the dealers.

If you go the DIY route you will need to remove the Airbox and radiator fan. Here is a DIY Link : http://www.bmw330ci.net/maintenance/completecoolant.php#step1

You may want to replace the Expansion tank as well, as they tend to crack and eventually explode ....

Try and get a water pump with with a metal impeller. From what I understand the OEM pump have plastic ones which break off when they fail.

if you in CT, you can pop in at my place and i'll help you. Provided your car isnt auto, cos i dont have the tools to remove the viscous fan.

Masterparts sell a very decent waterpump with stainless steel impeller for R250

Now I am really P##@ed off. I replaced my waterpump with the Masterparts one about 3 years ago and last year when I had my car serviced at Forsdicks they replace the pump without my permission. Said there was some whining noises coming from the engine and they said it was the waterpump. Those same whining noise is still coming from the engine compartment. Fuckers just stole my pump.

I think I need to check the belt and tensioners.

For that reason I serviced my car myself this year and saved me some moola. Changing oil, filter and air-filter is very easy.

To change the pump is not too difficult. I helped the mecchie do it (pump and two belts). You just need to remember the track of the belt and remove everything in the way.
