I had the same vibration on The POFS in the beginning, and then had the lower control arm bushes changed. problem solved.

I was on about 150K KM's on my E39 when my LCAB needed replacing ... similar issue with vibration under braking. However, I also picked up vibration under acceleration too ...

if acceleration is super smooth, then its definitely lower control arm bushes ...
no too difficult to replace if you have a press. I just removed my control arms, poped down to bmw and had them press in new ones, and then I just stuck em back in the car. and voila.

mine wasted at around 190K also.

I bought the complete pressed units. Still have the old ones if they are worth something...?

cost of new bushes?

Where is best to buy them in Cape Town?

Is there a real difference between OEM and other suppliers in terms of quality?

eish, ok. hmm, I paid 800 bucks for original BMW ones.. really don't like using aftermarket stuff. unless for a race application.
but poly urethane bushes should be good bro.
