+1. Hoping OP has just been happier than a pig in shit with the build and is too busy to post.

I get irritated with the "hopes and dreams" shitposts like V10s in i8s and everyone's blind stupidity saying "everything can be done for a price..." but I agree with @osiris that these ACTUAL build posts from people with plans, resources and in this case a whole shop are sorely missing.

Hoping this one has been finished or is close to finished. @Bmw 1M V10 we need updates!

Agreed, we can all hope it's worked out but again, unless you're an uber DIY-er or can afford to learn as you go, a project like this, especially bodywork, is always gonna be scary. The costs can add up. The mistakes are hard to rectify. The quality of work might only come out as poor years down the line.

@OP do post some updates, if this thing did get finished it'd probably be one of *THE* best BMW builds in the country.
