Urgent advice needed

Hi Guys,

We are planning on driving the 328i down for a major service and touch up. The plan is to go over every issue there is and sort it all out and also looking to do a few minor modifications (exhaust, VANOS, filter) just to bring the car back to life. As I am currently in England, it's a trusted mechanic who would drive the car down to SA but here the issue: my Dad is planning on sending the car to Sandton Auto for the service and I sure as hell know that's going to hurt in terms of financials. I need give my Dad a trustworthy alternative, someone who can treat the car like their own and look after it. I'm sure there is someone reputable, maybe even on the forum (Gizmo?).

Would also like some insight on what I should have done to the car, both preventative maintenance and performance/aesthetic upgrades.

My advice would be A1exander and Lysis on the forum. They get BMW parts for good discount I believe and treat customers cars like their own.

Also Gizmo, but he tends to be very busy with loads of cars always being dropped off.

Either of the above two would be able to sort you out.
