Thanks moranor. Yes, that was before the exhaust flap was removed and with no CAI.

I will make better vids with the current system

Yuben brought his 330i around for a quick check up and new FCABs and I had a chance to hear and check out the exhaust system. The sound is perfect and sounds like stock while cruising on the freeway, the Cowley boxes make all the difference as we tested the two 330i's with identical exhausts side-by-side and Yuben's 330i is quieter than mine which has Wildcat silencers and TNT headers. My next system will definitely have Cowley silencers for sure. There were a few oversights/errors that I saw though, firstly the alu sump guard was cut to clear the exhaust. The exhaust should have been modified to clear the car, not the other way round. Secondly, the middle of the exhaust is supposed to have rubber mounts that fit to the exhaust crossmember like the std OEM system has, because these weren't there the exhaust was rattling on the crossmember every time the car goes over a bump in the road. I temporarily removed the crossmember to stop the rattling until Yuben can get it fixed. The last thing was the piping is hard up against the left rear camber arm when the car is on the lift, it should clear the camber arm like the OEM system. I just want to point these things out so the next exhaust system is 100% perfect or am I being too anal? Anyway, Yuben is very happy with it and I suppose that is all that matters, Gizmo out.

all advice is welcome, so that we can improve the overall product....

YUBEN, the fix, bring it in, and I will convince Jackson that is a "no-charge" to ensure we do the right thing.

I've just read the whole thread. And as always I've learned alot. On my car I had the cats in the exhaust removed about a year ago. Was happy with the sound. And the consumption came down a bit.

Now a month ago I had the cats in the header removed aswell. (Cut out straight pipes welded in). Car sounds good can't really tell that there is a difference at highway speeds. And the rasp... well I quite like it. However on cold starts it sounds terribly tinny. Will try to up load later.

Now the question is will a x-pipe make a difference.

Really don't mean to jack a thread here. But so far everyone that posted had good advice.

I have run into all 3 of those issues on previous systems done by Wildcat a few years back. I now insist on standing next to the guy doing the job and intervene if necessary.
