He left months ago and you still reeling from the butt hurt, let it go already...

You are clearly the only one that experienced butt hurt from his departure

@OP

Gizmo rubbed a lot of members here the wrong way but more due to personal disagreements than actual work on a car (or at least that was my reading of it), having had him work on my car, I am happy with the work done and would feel comfortable having him work on it again in future.

I'd give him a ring and see if his pricing can match this other workshop.

You seem to be the butthurt one here. Give it a rest. Its really old now actually :roflol:
Oh please! The mere mention of his name throws you and this lot into a frenzy every time. Lets not forget who denied him entry to the redstar fanatics race day despite it being open to all...talk about butt hurt...

Guys why not just let it be, Gizmo is gone now anyway, I think if you're not helping OP with his request of advice for a workshop/mechie, then leave it to PMs or make your own thread to settle scores.

We are giving him great advice. Stay with Tune Tech and not go to Gizmo.

Simple.

So if he came back to the forum it would make your clique very unhappy? Good to know.:thumbs:

You guys done playing circle jerks now?

To answer the OP's questions, yes tune tech are reputable, the owner Shaun Sing started the company over 20 years ago, Shaun's son runs the shop these days. Their premises isn't in a great part of JHB and rather small so you tend to wait for a booking.

Warren aka Gizmo is a bmw enthusiast and former bmwfanatics advertiser in brackenhurst alberton with a well set up private workshop at home. He has been maintaining and documenting bmwfanatics members cars for over 10 years with great feedback. Will PM you his number.

Both are safe options but Gizmo has an eye for the details that workshops tend to overlook and that's why his work has a good reputation here.

He entered and was allowed to race, as we left forum politics out of it, despite his *&@^ talk of the fanatics brand, members and the forum as a whole on other Forums. So lets say BMWFanatics was the bigger person there. In anycase, that has nothing to do with what the op requested..

OP...tunetech is good as youve heard many here say.

What car is it btw?

OP has an E90 330d, being diesel and an E90 the recommendation was tune tech as it is a diesel engine and is not one of the two best Bmw models built know to man.
