Coupe, Nat Aspirated 147kw, RWD, Lightweight, that Scooby 4pot Boxer Sound, 3 Pedals... WHats not to like?

Don't think its a ladies car @ all, should appeal to the enthusiast . . .

But I still would take the BRZ, just cause!

I would consider one ..... if it was force fed.

For now, it seems "all show, no go". But if you're a Toyota fan, this is the first decent sports car they brought here in a long, long time. If you've never experienced/driven a BMW, then you'll be as happy as sh!t in this little Toyota...

However, I see this becoming the next "Sandton chick" car :fencelook:

R300k buys you a mint E46 M3 - just saying ...

End of the day, there are very few people who care about performance. When compared to the average 1.6, the GT86 is a rocket ship.

We are a bit spoilt with our cars :)

The car should have similar handling and fun characteristics as the Honda S2000 and Mazda MX5 and if you think these are boring you probably have never driven them.

Personally I think the 86 will be epic!

The S2000 is a powerhouse though. And I don't think that people are saying it's a bad car, it's an awesome car, but I'm not spending 300k on what I would consider a downgrade from my car.

The AE86 was an awesome car, and thats why they still sell for stupid money (well the clean ones anyway)..

And i get that toyota used that car as inspiration for this one, but this new one doesnt seem to have that "perfectly balanced - we've covered all our bases" quality that it was supposed to have.

I have not driven one, and im not inclined to, the car just seems underwhelming.

That may explain that of the 20 or so i've seen so far, most of the drivers are either middle-aged women and retired toppies. :fencelook:

Well balanced car.... lots of attention to detail....

Doesn't have the straight line speed we used to... but race 1 on bends or on a track, then u gonna be left for dead or u will cash ur faster 0-100 "STs, GTis, etc"....

Its a fun fun car :bravo:

The TRD supercharger will be out soon... there are already n/a mods for it...

they can never make another ae86 this is as close as it can get in this day :( just like the 1st GTI...

damn maybe it will be the next 206cc in SA... but maybe thats a good thing because then in a few years time the 20 something boys can buy them and mod the crap out of them
