Another route perhaps......:argh:
Maybe we can try staying off the highways.....not sure how safe that will be.....

Guys, if and when we do this, I was also thinking we might start a bit earlier??
Maybe meet at 21:00, social till 22:00, and then kick off. I only got home at 04:00 the next morning, and I dont mind that, but at the last stop, it was only 4 cars from the entire group that was left... :dunno:
Now, if we can start with almost a 100 cars, how come we finnish with ONLY 4?????

Well for one there was really no sense of a convoy, me and some others were still talking and taking pics at the maxis when everyone started leaving so when we got into our cars and got onto the highway there was nobody to follow :biglol:

So much for comradeship. :thumbdo:
Everyone just blasted away on their own. The ones driving in the front should stick to 80 at least for the first 2km or so for everyone to get in line and then after that they can drive their hearts out.
This last one sucked. Might just as well have driven it on my own as there was no one to follow.
As for making it earlier….. that is a :nonono:
The roads were still very busy @ 23.00 when we started driving to newroad.

a saturday is also a no.

coming back from monte casino on the n1 2 cameras and more traffic than on the friday night.

also we should have let the first group the slower cars go first then the faster ones at least 15 mins later,to do some catch up

at one stage it was just me driving by myself and then andy joined up and only the two of us.

at ultra city was so much confussion, didnt know if people were going home or to the next stop and when we did get to the engen only a hand full of cars.

thats why i asked the above question: to be or not to be?

Here's an idea...

We do another run, I drive out first with my car, and I will "skiet die bliksems!" that try to pass me!! That way we stay together...

cois,we want living fanatics not dead ones:roflol:

@fordkoppie,when we left maxis drove 120 untill the n1 south, then the guys did put foot down, most on the n12 it was me,then andy joined in,only near the n3 split did we have a small group again, then at ultra city, didnt know if people we going home or to the next stop, only when we got to the next stop did i realise that a lot of people had gone home.

remember the last one was 30 cars, and if i recall i was the second last one to get on to the r21 where everybody blasted past me,i had some serious catching up to do,but i did and i completed the route.

i only counted on there being about 50 cars on this one but as you wittnessed there was more, and i am taking this as a learning curve, where as the slower cars leave first then the speedsters 15 to 20 minutes behind.

for you it sucked, but for others it was epic, for me it was abig shock driving into maxis and seeing so many cars(reminded me of fast and furious) but i have learnt a lot from it and maybe if there is another one i will plan better

as i always say,a person can only learn from there mistakes made

At least it was epic to see so many BMWs at the starting point.
Herr - I am not pointing fingers at you, but merely making a suggestion to the next run. Like you said, it is a learning curve and no one could have expected such a huge turnout which is very difficult to manage.
Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise - Imagine Joe public driving all alone at midnight minding his own business and all of a sudden 100+ BMWs pass him from each and every angle at once :biglol:
