I never misjudged anyone. Where or what gives you this idea?
All I have said in this thread is that you as the organiser and those partaking need to cool it down and take note of the extra risks associated with a midnight run as apposed to a daytime run.
Are you honestly suggesting that I am wrong by saying the above? If so then I suggest you wake up, pull your head out the ground and take a look around you.
Professional Racing Drivers have accidents, Learner drivers have accidents, everyone has accidents. Your midnight run is a big fat accident waiting to happen.
Now once again I repeat myself, I am not suggesting you have no runs and I am not suggesting that the runs done were dangerous (although the legality of them can be questioned). I provided a selection of "what if" scenario's all of which could have happened but thankfully didnt happen. I proposed regulation and restraint for future runs.
THAT IS ALL.
Clearly you and others are unable to read basic english if you cannot see this. The only person I have "attacked" if you want to call it that is Coisman with completely valid points. Am i the only one who thinks this way or am I the only one who says it?
And please put your dick away, I dont care who has more people at their event. This isnt a dick wagging session and I really couldnt care less Colin.
There is no argument, accidents happen. Now untwist your precious knickers, stop seeing me and my opinion as a negative entity in your precious midnight runs and do something about it or choose to ignore my advice/opinion on this matter.
Mike
you can not take on coisman, you have no prove that is was supporting an illeagal event or driving irresponsible, just because he said a couple of things on an open forum means diddly squat.
"...on a midnight run where there are allot of members driving their cars with excitement."
"...PS: I accept and will deal with any shit that should come my way if something were to happen on one of the meets, but there is no way I can be held responcible for another guy driving his car to the limit on a public road."
"...the issue is that the guys that do "drive" a bit "spirrited", do so safely, indicating lane changes, and not forcing people off the roads, on a well lit highway, with 4 lanes, and IF another road user is spotted that is not part of the run, the group backs down, settles down, and then "run" again."
"...To drive in fear is pointless, and althought I dont aprove of some of the guys "driving style", I wont be made out as a cop that was there in support of an illigal event!"
So I was talking on my phone while driving..."...Sorry man, I was on the phone wit Herrbmw at that time, cause I also didnt have a map..."

I also felt this last run was a bit big. The first one to me personally was more enjoyable as an individual and a group. More mobile and controlled and more fun, in the way of having runs with more cars. And other reasons I can't think of now.
However as a park off the last one was EPIC!!!
In my mind having more frequent midnight runs should cure the problem.
1. Less people will attend as it's more frequent.
2. Less people = safer.
20-30 sounds like a fair number to have fun filled night with. even less to be honest.
Also if there are a couple of hilariously fast cars they can tag along and then head off to the next stop leaving the rest to have fun and meet up. Or not. Just a thought.
Now Like many others I've been to many legal and illegal events. And as far as the illegal ones go they we're pretty dodgy. Fast and furious but in every possible way LESS SAFE than a typical midnight run. Even if the run was held by a bunch of 18year olds it would still be a far cry from something like voortrekker weg on a sunday night.
I for one vote TO BE and don't care who organises it or just mentiones a time place and route  In fact I thought of doing double loops on the R21 as I feel that's the best highway out there at the moment. The least amount of hard turns, best lit and frequent garages for stops.
As far as timing is concerned. I think we keep it as it were.
Friday nights
Mid month in my opinion
And starting possibly earlier. Say meet at 22h00 and leave by 23h00 - 23h30.
March is upon us and we should have another one. Even if it's a baby one to keep the ball rolling. I for one will be going on one. Now lets start organising :joy:

Your speed is irrelevant. Your duty is to uphold the law, not just from 8 to 5 but all the time.
Simply by association, being there and allowing people to break the law means that you are no better than they are.
You are meant to set an example, not laugh while others brag about their "not exceeding 120km/h" remarks.
I cannot respect an officer that doesnt follow the laws he preaches, and then takes part in an event where those exact laws are disregarded and still thinks he is faultless.
Leaving your name out of it is what common sense should have told you to do before taking part.
