Well, have some bad news. Put the turbo in, all fine, put the new downpipe in and well you can see for yourself:
It hits the steering column. So much interference I can't actually fasten the downpipe to the turbo.
It's very annoying as I am home till Tuesday and now can't do what I wanted to do. I was hoping to have the car ready to run by tomorrow afternoon.
So, ended up cleaning some more and changed out the drivers side lower control arm bush. The old one wasn't actually in that bad a condition, but figured you buy them in pairs so might as well change both out.
Monday morning I have to take my son to book his learners for his bike, then I will go past Xcede and have them adjust the downpipe. Hopefully I can then continue.
