Zeemax are very good and are highly recommended.

The lights could be anything from a faulty computer to a wiring issue... The early Mini's are known for this... Its a quick fix apparently.

I would take it to Zeemax and get them to have a looksee.

Hi, Im sure the contacts here will assist. If they screw it up we will tie him to Gopher the next time I am at the skidpan. :)

I also think the guys here are as good as their Word.

ok cool...........I have a bit of a problem with three lights that keep coming on, the one is the ABS, the other is an exclamation mark and I think another has something to do with the pressure of my tyres!!!!

what could all this be?

Oh shucks! It's the darn flux capacitor again.:mmm:

Of course!

Jandre - How did I miss that... Its simply the flux capacitator that needs to be replaced... This is simple and inexpensive. Easy job. Its like a largish fuse they replace. White in colour in an oval shape.

Zeemax are in Paarden Eiland - http://www.zeemax.co.za/

Just mention the above to them and they will know exactly what to do.

Mike

P.S - Im so going to hell.

@ Missy, sorry, it's a forum joke. My apologies. The flux capacitor is the thingy that made the Delorean do what the Delorean did in Back to the future.

On a more serious note, I would advise you to go to Zeemax and have those lights attended to. My little brother had a 2003 Cooper S, and he had some lights burning on the dash. Told him to have it sorted, but before he got around to it, he wrote the car off.

Maybe totally unrelated, but hey, don't tempt fate.

Jandre! Noooo! Shhhh!

You ruined my fun... :slap:

But in all seriousness. As Jandre mentioned. Get it checked out asap as there may actually be proper faults and not just schizophrenic lights.

The problem that you are experiancing with all of those warning lights is more then likely a faulty ABS wheel sensor, very easy fix, Zeemax will sort you out no stres

Does Zeemax do older cars like mine?

Just wondering... :thinker:

Alrighty!

Just got a call from Anton from APS in Stikland with regards to the brakes.

He is shocked and dismayed. According to him the brake system on my Mini was at the point of failing completely.

Wrong fluids, seals and completely incorrect settings and adjustments. This was the cause for the cylinder going and for the pipes diminishing. He has replaced the pipes and cylinder and is adjusting every brake on its own as well as setting up the syncro's again so they all brake together as well as putting the correct brake fluid in.

He says the previous person who worked on the brakes was a complete idiot. And that the car was a deathtrap on wheels even though the brakes were still working ok with me.

The car is sleeping there overnight and by tomorrow 10ish I will get my beauty back. Anton says the brakes are as sharp and strong as a normal modern car now... Ooh I cant wait!!

Anton Slabber is a very nice bloke. I met him quite a few years ago, and sees him every now and then. He lives in the complex behind me.

Zeemax is the best and least expensive I've found in Cape Town. All other places always charges up to 1k more for anything. And they're GOOD.

Nah, that I can't help you with. You will have to go pay them a visit. They will quote first, I am sure.

Give then a shout. As far as I know, they are open on Saturdays as well. Quite a few very helpful guys there. You can speak to Sulaiman, Rashaad, Stanley and Zaid. Tell them you are a fanatic. They are also one of the forum sponsors.

Then you should really come to one of our weekly gettogethers (Come to think of it, we haven't had one for a while.)

Us bunch of badass drivers take to the streets and then we take over Starlight Diner here in Bellville. We do donuts in the parking lot, rev our cars like mad, and then we head inside for a plate of chips and a refreshing Oreo milkshake. :):):)

Actually we don't really take over, and the donuts in the parking lot was a once-off, but the chips and milkshake is the real deal baby!

My wife still doesn't believe me when I tell her we drink milkshakes and chat about cars the whole night.

She looks after the kids, besides a car is just a device that gets her from point A to point B. (According to her.)

She would be bored to death.
