And "Technician" competed for my exhaust technicans attention today, a bit of pressure....

I had to leave early for a doctors appointment, just as work started on a 63mm free flow system....would love to hear what the result was like.

thank to Ralph and his team.
driving 50 odd km to get an exhaust done was well worth it.

i kept the standard rear box, replaced the tips with demon tips and kept the standard headers.
i removed the resonators.
so basically it is a duel straight pipe from the original header into the original rear box.

stock backbox? Is there a particular reason why it was retained and is there any power gains?:bravo:

@Technician...please please please can we get a sound clip

@B16A4, it is generally accepted that these cars dont gain from changing the exhaust system & the OEM setup works best for a standard car.

I"v seen an overseas thread once where they fitted 5 (I think) aftermarket systems & none of them outperformed the standard system...

to be honest, i just like the look of the standard box, the M3 back box is rather unique looking in my opinion.
i also didnt want to change too much on the system, my middle section was not in the best condition and needed some tlc.

i decided to go slightly bigger in size and remove the resonators.
i actually havent noticed a huge difference in "normal driving" and it actually isnt much louder. travelling at 130km/h there isnt any "HONDA/ CITI GOLF" like droan noise.

Downside of the OEM system is the weight it carry's.

after recently doing some engine work, i haven't really revved the car over 3500rpm, so once my motor is opened up a bit ill really see what the pipe is made of.

ive only done 4000km after my recent engine work..

and yes my full build thread will be up soon, i hope.
