Hey guys

Last year team Afrox made use of the E90 330i BMW.

I now have it from a very reliable source that this year team Afrox is making use of the all new 2009 335i in future races.

According to my source the cars are coming along well in the building stages and are nearing completion.

This year Audi is introducing the Audi S4 to motorsport in SA and this is the main reason for the the change to the 335i. BMW needed more power. :mmm:

You can expect to see the cars on the 13th of March in its full glory.

They will still be in the same production car class... They are simply going to battle to keep up. :excited:

Should make for some awesome racing me thinks.

Alternatively Nissan will provide the 350Z guys with 370Z's at a good buy or change the 350Z to the 370Z engine which apparently is a straight swap.

Basically they need to upgrade.

wonderful news...can't wait for March...if this happens there will be much technology to be gained and learned from seeing 335s in track guise...for our street purposes hey?

Well they say their 330i has Motech engine management. I don't even know what that is... I suspect they don't either.

I have been to see the building up of these cars at the workshop in Kyalami. Wish I had taken my camera with because the attention to detail is superb!
LHD so there is more space for the twin aftermarket turbos with twin aftermarket wastegates!
