Sunroof issues

Since I bought my 2011 F10 about 2 years ago, the "double click" auto function for the sunroof never worked. i.e. I had to hold the button down to open/close the interior shade and sunroof.

A few days ago, i googled the issue, and it seemed I just needed to hold down the tilt button for about 20 seconds for the sunroof to reset and recalibrate. When I did that, the sunroof tilted up, and the interior shade started opening. Unfortunately, it seemed to move much further back than normal and then started making a clicking noise.

So I managed to close the tilted sunroof manually by removing the console with the lights, and using an Allan key. However, the interior shade is still stuck back behind the roof lining. Pushing the close or tilt button does not do anything. Pushing the open button (or holding the tilt button for 20 seconds) causes the same clicking/humming noise.

Does anyone know what the problem is, and how to fix it? Alternatively, any recommended places in the Durban area?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks again, I stopped by him as I was in the area yesterday. Seems like a good guy.

Unfortunately, seems like the entire roof lining will have to be removed to identify the problem and fix thereafter. I'll be sending my car in in the next couple of weeks.
