stolen car keys

:argh:hi yesterday morning I was at the shop around the corner from my house and someone pick pocket me and stole my car keys ,I went to the police station and told them but they can do anything ,do anyone know where can I get my car locks change and new keys and reprogram my ecu so my old keys won't work its a mini cooper s 2006 model :bangdesk:

Sorry bud, that's just messed up. I suggest you change your locks asap. If it was near your home, you can expect them to know you. So might target your car.

Open a case of theft at the police so you get a case number and then get your insurance to sort it out for you. Easy.

Yep, you can claim for this from insurance. Hope you filed a report while you were at the police station.

Should be done at the dealers and it costs a premium.

2nd week of ownership of the 135, fcukers took my wife's bag @ a resturant we where sitting in, key was in the bag

I had to take the car the next day to BMW to apparently decode the 2nd key and they set about ordering a key for me.

Somehow they lost track of it and didnt issue the new key, I called in and complained, I got the key for 1800 (which was lower than my insurance excess of 2k).

I think I have some a lower excess to covers things like the key, but I never looked into in.

Its a pain and an administrative nightmare, good luck, hope you sorted soon
