Yip. Date and accomodation not confirmed yet, but driving down to CT, staying there, then staying at margate, and then durbs, umhlanga. That's the outline thus far. Working on +- 7 days. Top down coastal roads all the way.
Still need a place to stay in CT. And maybe en route somewhere before margate. Staying at family in margate, and friends in durbs.
I feel guilty that I haven't toured my homeland yet. It's about time!

Ok guys, this is a bit soon, but I'm going through to harties on this sunday the 26th of Aug and might as well go with the Nissan. Going with the girlfriend and will make it a breakfast run. Will visit some family there afterwards.
So who is keen to join?
We'll still plan one for the 15th or 16th of september.
I believe Upper deck is quite a nice place to park off next to the dam and have a bite and drink. Open to suggestions and routes.
I normally take the N4 as it's a smooth and nice and safe cruise there.
Planning to leave at around 09:00. Before it gets too hot :rollsmile:

However N14 and R512 past lanseria is also a very nice trip. And more central. Not so far north to PTA side. I think I'll be doing this route this time around.

Ok more details. We are meeting at the Petroport on the N14 west toward Lanseria. The big garage on top of the hill just before the Lanseria offramp. (They normally trap in that dip before the garage)
From There we will drive the R512 but the destination no longer harties, as it's going to be a bit of an avalanche of people on a Sunday. (My family is going to be in cape town then anyway)
Fordkoppie will lead the way toward wonderboom airport area where we will park off and enjoy sunday breakfast :rollsmile:
