Spark Plugs

Hi All,

Just trying to establish what spark plugs are best for a 2002 e46 330i. I am going to be doing some DIY and want to know from the informed which are best. I always used to use NGK on previous cars but I'm listening

Thanks

dealers normally have good pricing on plugs

Bosch FGR7DQP
or
NGK BKR6EQUP

I changed quite a fresh set of Bosch for the NGK could not tell the difference so i would say they both perform the same...

It's ultimately between Bosch and NGK, no other viable/good options. I went with NGK because they seemed to picked by most service centers, and are also rated really well over the international forums.

Btw, in terms of pricing I paid 49bucks each when I changed them on my 330i from gaydons motor spares in Durban... Diesal electric was next closest on price..

49 damn that good BMW had them for 70 odd last time i priced them... all the parts places here had them for over 100

Can't comment on the 330 personally, but agreed that as per int forums the NGK seem the choice. My 318i, chowed the NGKs so I only used Bosch on the 318i and used the same on the 330i when I changed them.
Be interested to see what / how the NGK rate in the 330i, however they are big money IIRC when compared with the bosch. That said always rated NGK plugs in my Nissans. The wifes Opel only likes Champions so who actually knows - sorry I'm rambling now !
