Have a nice little package incoming via a friend - a Rogue Performance downpipe!

Will have to wait until after Christmas, like a good little boy, before I can install.

Once installed I'll flash MHD Stage 2 to suit :cartel:

Small update...

I have made, admittedly slow, progress on my 'to-dos'!

-Windows re-calibrated - Wind noise no longer an issue!
-Procured a new K+DCan cable - Old one was not salvageable
-Had the DP installed!

The car sounds absolutely demonic now. The combination of DP + PE is just ludicrous.

This weekend I will flash MHD Stage 2.

At this moment I am a very happy man!

MHD S2 successfully flashed!

I remember the first time mashing my foot down in my Audi after its Stage 2 flash - the improvement was enormous! I actually got a ticket within the first 5 minutes of collecting it :fencelook:

Unfortunately the experience with the BM was not as rewarding - I was quite underwhelmed actually. I think my expectation was perhaps too optimistic and I hoped for a more 'peaky' response after the flash. I drove it calmly for the rest of the afternoon, feeling a bit disappointed with the result.

Considering that it was probably not the best day to flash and test since it was ~33°C in the Northern Suburbs of CT at the time; I waited and went out to test it when the ambient temp was around 20°C...

Holy F#@K! What a difference!!! The car was hauling and the shifts were savage.

I suppose some adaptations had time to manifest and then, of course, the cooler air played its part. Car was boosting ~1.1 bar peak and ~0.8bar @ red line.

The delivery is still very 'linear' compared to what I'm used to but the speedo just climbs relentlessly. The stability and refinement of the car masks some of the brutality I think...

I won't be driving the torque bulge like I did the Audi but I'm pretty happy with the outcome now.

I do foresee an IC in my future though...

Once you start monitoring your intake temps, you going to BOLT to get a cooler. These things heat soak so fast as you have probably experienced. You so right the refinement of the car mask the brutality until you dragy it and cant believe how fast you just did 100-200 hahaha.

I'm going to have to swallow my words a bit :fencelook:

The car has really come into its own since the initial testing of the flash.

Thing is an ANIMAL!! :cartel:

Rather quiet in these parts...

I just completed a suspension refresh with the help of some Konis supplied by @"gavsadler" from GShift - Good service from our fellow forumite!

I went with the Koni STR.T (Orange) range on all 4 corners. I didn't really feel I'd fiddle with the adjustable damping of the yellows.

Along with the dampers, the shock mounts and front drop links were also replaced.

The car feels really sharp and tight in the turns, I must say! Very happy with the feel so far.

Unfortunately, at no fault of the shocks, I'm still struggling with a front suspension knock over slow bumps (speed bumps, entrances etc.)  :dunnoanymore:
