Hi all
Some more changes I have recently made:
Added "Index" button - I get a lot of requests on how to access the forum's board index, for a list of all the subforums. Generally I would have to explain to simply click on the forum's header/banner with rotating pics and the logo. So I added a button for easier access to new members and for those who don't know.
The old "BMWFanatics Shop" button/link has been renamed to "Merchandise" and in here will be the future spot to keep an eye on for when merchandise production picks up again. This button had a lot of people confused, thinking the forum had a shop and that spare parts could be bought in here.
The old "Advertisers" button was renamed with a more appropriate "Official Vendors" label, and colour coded to match their usernames so it stands out in the forum header more to allow for a little bit more exposure.
The same colour coding was applied in the index to allow faster finding of the subforums for the vendors, and for said vendors to notice their "lounge" more often when announcements are made by admins or simply for interacting with forum staff.
Today I also finally found a compatible plugin for the usertag function. This function allows you to tag a forumite in a post so that they are alerted to the thread they are being mentioned in. A guide on how to use the usertag function can be found HERE.
