Goodmorning Guys

What do you think about doing software upgrades on non-turbo cars? .. I have a bmw 130i and have been hearing that it doesnt make a big diffrence because the car doesnt have a turbo ... amd advice here?

Not much you can do to get power out of the car.
Do a decat + software or full exhaust + software and that's about it.

Its not worth it. I've tried software and a piggyback.

Before I tried them I had already done the decat and K&N filter. I gained 12Nm from removing the cats.

Months later, I took out the middle box. The exhaust has a nice loud tone (like an E46 M) at 1900rpm.

The 3 liter BMW engine / software combination is already at the edge of what is possible if one does not add major transitions or modifications.

Latest 330i software updates by Promotec have resulted in very happy fanatics (see / read various writeups i.e. THIS ONE)

Yes it's little power gains but our software changes the engine's characteristic!

If I remember correctly Grant, wasn't there a problem with your intake manifold at the time we tried software on your car?

The little cleaner boy mentioned something like that when I did the file

The problem I had was the holes in the air filter housing, before the air filter sucks in the air. I had those holes sealed.
