Take 5 mins to watch this video. This was in an opel Manta400 in 1983. then there was no driver aids like even road cars have these days. Just a steering wheel, 3 pedals a handbrake and a ZF "H" pattern gearbox. Oh yeah and balls the size of footballs. I met him years ago when he was driving the black Mk2 Escort which was built at RED (Rally Engineering Development) fastest rear wheel drive escort he has ever driven (His words) where I used to work. And the final part of this stage he was driving with a flat tyre. Now that my friends is driving.

Actualy the title could make a good gameshow. Heres the plan...get a bunch of taxi drivers and some old folks, if u can, get a few young blonds. Set them a bunch of challenges from passing a normal K53 test to letting them do handbrake turns. Let the judges score them but not the judges from Idols, because Garteh will try and charm the blonds and vote for them based on looks, Mara would fail a alcohol blow test and yell racist everytime a taxi driver is voted off and randal would try and explain the entire history of Ford when he should just be giving advise.

dont forget he was in 5th gear when he clipped the left side front wheel doing travelling about 120 mph. If you notice his left leg stays over the clutch pedal and his right stays over the accelerator pedal. (normally the brain tells you instinctively to brake. can you imagine the mess if he had have done!!) that is 100% commitment and that is what wins races pure and simple. Can you really see the play station generation driving like that? I personally dont think so.
Here is another video of the only person who can drive an E30 M3 exactly how it should be driven. Oh yeah and turn the volume up this is good!!

I think he does some celebrity driving and the odd event. There was only ever two positions his accelerator pedal was in. That was on or off.Thats it nothing in the middle. It makes me smile sometimes when guys come into our workshop and tell us just exactly how good and how fast there 200000 bhp subarus and mitsubishi evo 99s or whatever shit they have are. And tell us it can do a standing quarter of a mile in 10 seconds!!! woo woo!! how boring in a straight line. I then tell them. " try driving through a forest in a rear wheel drive car with trees gates and not truly knowing what is around the next corner or over the next brow flat in 5th gear with 285 bhp and then come back and tell me how fast your car is"
