Hi all - 1st post, and a very sad one at that :bawling:

Got my dream car just under 2 months ago (2001 330i E46, BlAcK and "'toight like a tiger" :thumb: ) and last night... ALL my electricals just went on the blink! This @ 20H00 and 45kms away from home :shocked:.

I've been told it's the alternator (by battery centre) so it's not a biggie.

Question is......... is IT NORMAL to FEEL SO K@K?!? I feel soooo SAD, so UPSET, so lost!!! ...to have such an attachement to a vehicle.. I'm worried about my sanity :mmm:

Nothing wrong with you, your just another fanatic, like us. Alternator repairs are easy to do, so you will get her up and running quickly, and then you shall be all happy again

Thanks for the welcome zaleonardz... been meaning to post some pics, but as soon as I get within 2 feet of the car *#POOF!* I'm screaming down the road on another joy ride :facepalm:

I just can't get enough of my car and cannot find enough excuses to drive.

Mine is very heavy on the juice.... I learnt today. It is so much fun to drive I just kept quiet about the consumption, but now I need to give it some attention seriously.

When they broke, we feel k@K...... And boy do they let us know about it....

i can relate dude.

my car broke, the valvetronic went faulty and the car was constantly in limp mode. It was broken for bout a week.

I was totally bummed. couldnt even party knowing the car is in trouble. the wife was like "you dont worry about me this much when im sick". but hey, she doesnt understand the relationship between a man and his car, especially if its a bmw.

ye, 100% the same... happens to me allot, lol, I've broken my e39 allot.
worst was when I had to wait 2weeks for an alternator from the states ... eish, that was long.

Thanks for the kind words guys... she's fixed now, just giving her the once (twice and maybe... a third!) over. I swear, if something else breaks I'm gonna :banghead: !
