The place is one massive mall. It's hot as hel and cars are massively expensive! Sanatoza Island is pretty cool. Make sure to get the island package at the cable cars otherwise it's kak expensive. O and make sure you understand the underground map before you spend an hour on a trip that should have taken 10min like I did. Sanatoza island is in the harbour, stupid concierge dude told me it's at the marina, which is just another friggen mall. O ja, if you have old levi jeans bring em along cause the levi shops traded them in for 50 bucs or something. Well that was last year so can't guarantee that's something they always do. Take note though, do not offer to buy a pretty girl in a pub a drink case you are going to pay 50 dollars for a glass of coke!!!! They are known as ktv girls. They hang around pubs and are paid to get okes to buy them drinks. There is no worries about language, everyone speaks English unless they are form China. The Singaporeans I chatted to are very friendly and will treat you with respect. The place is very safe but don't go looking for trouble. Like all Asian countries they sometimes have weird laws. No chewing gum and littering. They don't like that. Make sure you keep both eyes ahead of you cause everyone walking has got their eyes glued to their phones, it's the weirdest thing ever.
It's very expensive and I mean that. A shot Johnny walker black was 15 dollars. I guess it's about 10 rand now to a Singaporean dollar. Um ja, most shopping centres have 2 food courts so you can choose if you want western or ester food. Don't take anything with bacon, it's really weird tasting. I tried a local burger joint, they have these long stick looking mushrooms that are tasty.
