I hope this hyped up Z4M actually pulls off some numbers at the track to back up the horsepower claims...

290+kph on the 1km sprint and 10 second quarter miles is where it needs to be, otherwise it will just be another "claimed wonder child"

Agreed, however it sounds like 10's may not be on the cards but the exits definitely. 220'ish on the 400m as well to be expected.

Im keen to see how this car does. Has definitely been hyped up and the dyno figures seem to back up the hype. Now to put something down on the tar.

Look agreed dyno figures dont always translate to low times and high exits but it is at Savspeed's dyno which on my wagon on most other dynos am making 20wkw more so thats a good indication at least. But yeah show me the slip on your 400m and 1km run and then i will be impressed and thats the actual proof in the pudding even if the car can do 1000HP.

I do more track racing and have never run a 400m with the 1M which i have been wanting to for a while but everytime its hosted on the same dates as my track dates. I will get a run in this year still.....

I think Sergio is only going not sure will find out.

You track the 1M ??

Tarlton Street to Strip - Friday 2 November
ODI this weekend Sat and Sunday
ODI on Sunday 11 November
Nitro Raceway on Sunday 2 December

Those are the dates still lined up this year

What else am i supposed to do with it:roflol:
Heads up on those dates i will have a flippin run this year still:flyfun:

Agreed! They are just trying to find a clutch that can withsatnd all the horses, but dont worry Sav is a genius when it comes to these Turbo Conversions and has pioneered the M3 turbo conversion for a long time now including the 2 x Z4's and a e92 V8 M3.

I think if Extreme had to show his time slips here many might keel over:rollsmile:

You need about 650 hp to run 300 on 1 kilo in a 1400-1500 kg car

Sergio's Z4 M Turbo ran 620 HP at BMW/Excede KAR dyno day with about .3 bar still left to turn up if thats any indication without even getting to the extreme high boost levels it can run only safety holding them back.

The other Z4 M Turbo will run about 30-50Hp more if that gives you any idea of what power they running vs exits and then there is also that same boost left to turn up and more as there are some differences in the 2 Z4's internals and turbo etc.

I believe more....(remember your car is run on Budler's low reading dyno)

Who is Budler and depending on weight maybe not so but none the less you need 600-700 to start off with. Weight playing a major role though.

problem is even if it does not set the times expected 1st time out it proves nothing because traction will play a big role in this...

im pretty sure whatever the outcome is the haters are still going to find an excuse to hate... its what Haters do...

Thank you ed_z

The car has run 9.9 @ 245 kph, but I don't have a pic of that timeslip

@Moranor: Even if the car has traction issues, trap speed is usually still within the ball park range the ET is just slow
