It's very easy to install, there are tons of DIYs online for how to remove the headunit. It behaves pretty much like an OEM bluetooth system:
- Handsfree Phone Calls
- A2DP Music streaming
- Steering wheel controls for volume and track skip, also answer/reject calls.

The only thing that it doesnt do is if you are listening to the radio and you receive a phonecall, it will not automatically mute the radio and switch into bluetooth mode. You will have to press "mode" on the headunit to switch to the bluetooth, and then it will automatically answer the call.

I searched for ages to find a way around this, but its simply a constraint of any bluetooth device that operates through the CD shuttle port. Other than that, its brilliant and really brings the car into the modern era in terms of smart phone integration.

Thanks for the reply, so if I understand you correctly then, the shuttle is now disconnected and no longer functional. Correct?

Sorry for these questions.

A common issue on E46s is a slight misting or yellow-ing of the side indicators. Mine is no different, and I have been putting this off for awhile. Here is what it looks like:

Here you see a comparison between the old and new:

Remove the old one is very easy. Take a plastic pry tool, wrap it in a microfibre and apply pressure from the rear of the car, towards the front of the car. You will slide the indicator forward (its got a spring mechanism), and then you can get the pry tool in behind the indicator to lever it out.

That leaves you here:

Next step is to pull out the indicator, and disconnect the plug. Simple enough. You then also want to clean the area:

Installing the new one is very simple. Connect the plug, and you simple slide it in at a similar slant that was required to remove it:

And that's it. You're all done.

I saw a car that looks exactly like yours on sunday standing down the road from me. Wonder if that might have been you. All I saw was, silver 330i with clear indicators on the rear. Only drove past.

Now just buy E90 side repeater bulbs as they orange with a chrome cap and get rid of the egg yolk look. Got them in all my cars, the rest of the bulbs are E65 chrome coated amber bulbs. No egg yolk in any of my clears but they shine bright and orange when they on.
