So today marks exactly a year since I took delivery of Leah...

What a year it's been! I think I'm more inlove with the car than the day I got it, as hard as that might be to believe...

She's given me a years flawless driving. I've covered 25 000km with the car in a year with the mileage now sitting on 806xxkm. Over the time the car has been faultless and other than servicing I've had to do nothing to her. Long may that continue! raise:

I have some plans for the car this year but they'll come slow as I'm still studying and that takes priority...

Plans for this year include:
Decat
EGR Delete
LED Interior Lights

Thats about it really. As these come I'll keep the thread updated :rollsmile:

5er got a service today. Many many thanks to Nikhil to helping me out today raise: :ty:

Old filter vs new

Nice fresh Cabin filters... Old ones really were gross!!

Fuel filters... Nice fresh one going in. Got a nice suprise here as the fuel that came out of the old filter was VERY clean. Pleased with that!

Pretty clean fuel... Some minor sediment collected at the bottom, but nothing too serious

Nice fresh Oil filter going in

Then it was time to void the Motorplan with some minor modding :fencelook:

EGR Delete time! Nobody likes to eat their own excrement, so why should my dear 5er be made to do so. Sorry Greenpeace!

Filthy. Look at all that gunk!

Nicely cleaned. Refitted and vacuum line blocked off.

Time for some Liqui Moly goodness. Still lots of reassembly to happen

All put back together... Take the time to admire my awesome photography skills... Blur FTW! :roflol:

Ready to go back to work. But first a good bath and some more TLC

Once again, huge thanks to Nikhil for all his help. Your workmanship really is fantastic. So much patience and care is taken, even when the car is doing its best to make you cry :rollsmile:

Thanks Rob. Curious as to the differences between the two oils (sounds like ticking etc).

I too love the sight of the 5 green bars when starting up. It's depressing seeing only one or two haha :=):

I've only driven it maybe 35km since servicing but so far no difference in sound... The car just sounds happy again. Not that she didnt before... I'm just a weird person :roflol:

Okay and the second update...

Brake pad warning light came on so time to do pads... Rear pads were determined to be the ones that need changing. Once again Gert from OBD Worx provided me with my parts... Some lovely Textar pads :thumbs:

Car went to Nikhil last Sunday for what should be a pretty quick job... Yeah no the 5er had other ideas :rofl:

We changed the sensor out as well but the light wont reset so it looks like it wants front pads now too... So thats next up on the list :rollsmile:
