Road trip in 2013 F10 520d m/sport

Came back yesterday from a nearly 4000km road trip with my F10 520d auto. What a nice car for the road. Really enjoyed the trip. My one son went with me. We left here (CT) last week Thursday and stayed over in Upington. Then next day on to Bloem. Saturday we drove to Durban. Enjoyed the Sunday in Durbs and left Monday for East Londen through the Transkei using the N2. Yesterday we drove home. Total mileage was about 3970kms with all the driving around in Bloem and Durbs. Average consumption was about 15.5km/l sticking strictly to all speed limits. Had no issue with the car apart from a cracked windshield. Lots of road works. My son counted and said we had nine stop and go's on the road from EL to CT!! Loose stones were flying all over on a section of road they were working on which had not been cleared of loose stones. Really good weather with practically no wind.

BMW's are an absolute joy when you put them on the open road. I have an '07 E92 325i and I recently got a G30 530d, which I owe a road trip.
