I was quoted R175k for a supercharger kit.
RGM have done a stage 1 conversion on the M5 and it's a truly excellent job.

well RGM seem to build reliable cars but it can be done cheaper without any corners cut...

Agree, I personally would not go to RGM for mods but do the other guys offer the same warranties as RGM ?

I know alot og guys would rather spend the extra cash at RGM because of the warranties RGM offer.

I remember when I had my Fezz ST and I wanted to fit a Dastek, I was quoted R750.00 per hour to set it up by them excluding the cost of the chip. When I asked how long it would take, they said maybe 3-4 hours. :fencelook:

Had it done by Shane from KAR for much much less !

did not think of warranty guess you right it is good to have, but damn thats an expensive warranty...

do you know what the RGM warranty covers on a SC install? because the kits generally cover all the parts included in the kit so any other damage is not covered...

if RGM cover engine damage then it may be worth it but i still feel not worth the extra cost... if it was 20k extra it would be worth it...

but that warranty will only cover your stuff if the damage is caused by running the kit right?

on older cars those parts will go prematurely surely. doubt that would be covered due to previous wear and tear.

and they say 65% power gains. must be a modified pulley on that charger or am i wrong?

Not sure if this covers older cars.

Personally I would not go there, just checked up on the warranty cause I remember them saying they offer one.

Havent come accross n e one else that offers such a comprehensive warranty though.

I think there comes a point where you sell your car, save the R150K for the supercharger (that's what I was quoted for my old A3 3.2) and just buy a faster car..

Guess everyone has a price, and a budget.
Some can afford to just throw big dollar around, and others don't even consider that big dollar, you know?
But damn, if your upgrade is 50% of you car's price.. it would definitely make me check out Autotrader first..

At R95 000, thats the full price of my car...

I did my supercharger conversion, simple bolt on, for half of that.

R47500 ? That's a good price :fencelook:

For such a price it makes sense , but when people are forced to pay R 150 000 , I can't see the reason behind it . Unless your car is something special to you , like me , its my first official car , so wanna give it as much umph and love .
