Shocks are on order, 6-8 weeks from Germany. After looking at the options:
- Koni
- Bilstein
- Sachs

Koni was never a OEM supplier for the e34, but make excellent shocks, at a good price. Bilstein B8's are brilliant aftermarket replacement shocks, but the come at quite a price.
Contacted ACMC in Pretoria, to source Sachs, who are OEM suppliers to BMW, via ZF locally and ACMC a full set of Sachs MTechnic shocks are on their way including new shock mounts all around, at a brilliant price........and it's Sachs.

In the interim have to the torque settings or the font suspension busy respraying the front struts.

Full Sachs suspension is here! Fetching on Wednesday or Thursday!
Now need to put the front bits and pieces together so the car can go for a spray.

Ok, pictures to follow. One back wheel is off, shock and springs taken out, ready to be re-fitted with a new Sachs shock. That is the passenger side. Drivers side not that easy, back wheel is refusing to come off.
Will update with pictures, as the back suspension is being rebuilt. Currently trying to identify springs used, they don't look BMW standard.......
