- all rust spots fixed
- bonnet the worst from a previously fixed point of view, was sanded down to metal

Ok, took some pics, rust in boot, at the driver door, is fixed.

Primer first coat is on

All dents scratches etc have been removed from all over the car.

The bonnet had 10 layers of paint, 5x primer and 5x coats of paint. Decided to sand down to metal, 3 days of work, bonnet lines are cleaner, primer is on

I actually created a site around my E34 M5 restoration and a big part of the site is posting the actual 14 year maintenance history (including $$$) associated with the car. You can find it here https://m5owner.com/repair-history/

Love these cars!!!

Congrats and welcome to e34 M5 ownership.:bravo::bravo:

And now for the e34 M5 owners mantra:

Step 1
Become very proud of your new purchase and cherish it above ALL other things:idea:

Step 2
Start a list of maintenance and repairs required:fencelook:

Step 3
Attach a vacuum cleaner to your bank account:cry:

Step 4
refer back to Step 1 for motivation:flyfun:

Step 5
Get a better paying job to support your addiction:thumbs:

Step 6
Spend months/years pampering her in every way possible:praise:

Step 7
Join e34 M5 Anonymous and declare your addiction:thumbs:

Step 8
Buy another project e34 and start from step 1 again....:roflol::roflol:

you have been warned... the addictive process has already started:ty:

Ok, think I am sort of back. Thank you Luis, yes spent some time in hospital, also had mega work at the office to finish.

On the good news side, the M5 is re sprayed, and will be back in my garage next week Saturday.

Will then start the re-build process, section by section, hoping to show that here in detail.

Glad to know you are O.K., one of my best friends passed away during/after an appendectomy, how old are you? He was only 30-something when he had the op.
