Replacement car recommendations

I dont care what the specs say.
Here at the reef the 330i doesnt stand a chance against the R56 Cooper S...... or i cant drive.

From what I've seen in CPT, my bone stock 330i pulls away from the R56. Had a quick go with a friend the other day, and while the boost in the mini helps it get that initial gap, I started pulling away at around 120.

The cars are worlds apart though, and I just don't like the Mini.

msm already has the Landy for the family so there is no real need for a big car.

Btw 330i vs 330d, i hav to go with diesel performance.

Remember that we are up here at altitude so with that into the consideration it puts the cooper S and the 330i (e46) pretty much level in terms of performance, then take into consideration that the S is lighter and is FWD with less drivetrain losses, so I would not be surprised if the S kills a 330i, though it would still not stop me from wanting to "compare" :rollsmile:

No doubt that it all adds up. I'm lucky to be down in CPT and have a manual so in that way, I would fare better. But I'm biased towards the 330

It will be the 330d for me.

Just waiting for feedback on an offer I put in about 15 mins ago .... will know by the end of the day.

One word: Torque.

When this car boosts, it's highly addictive. With the sports suspension and 18" wheels the car seems to handle very well too.

The Mini is fun too, but the 330d appealed to me more. I guess it just "felt" right on the day ....
