Rear Brake Pads CBS

Hi, spotted something the other day and I am not sure if this is normal. My CBS for rear brake pads seems to be dropping way to fast. On Sunday it was sitting at 17000 kms, this morning it was down to 13000 kms, I have only done 300 km from then. Any ideas on what the issue could be. I will physically check the brake pads later this afternoon. Its a 2009 325i

Hi, is this a e90 or F SERIES,

The DSC does the calculation for the brake wear, if the pads are still reasonably thick then one can do a CBS Correction, not a reset, that is provided there isn't a sensor issue. It can happen that the distance to go may drop if the driving style changes radically. It could also be that the pads are worn and lastly it could be software for the DSC needs to be updated.
First check the thickness of the right rear inner pad ,that is were the rear sensor is.

driving style has alot to do with mine ( E60) when doing my suspension work, the mechanic noted the front brakes needed to be changed. The idrive noted about 1500km on the front and about 1100km on the rear. After some hard driving and braking the warning came on the dash about the fronts(700km left), after which I rushed around to get the new disks and pads. I sourced all the parts for front and rear, but havent fitted yet due to time constraints . I checked this morning on the i drive and after probably doing about 800kms the front is on 1400km and the rears on 1200km.
