Thanks guys,

Just another small update.

I recently got caught of guard when my boot tried to decapitate me while opening which then followed by a cringe when it bounced ever so close to the rear windscreen. Struck with fear of causing more damage I made it a priority to have it fixed.
So I ordered a new boot spring and replaced it, only to realize that I order the wrong side (Left instead of Right). I figured it's no big deal, I will just order the new one. To my surprise, no dealers in SA had stock of the part and it had to be shipped in from Germany, which took a few weeks. During that time I was extra careful when using the trunk and made sure my kids were far away.

Another item that I wanted is really small but very functional. Its a parcel holder hook. The f10 for some strange reason only comes with one where the f30 comes with two (one on each side). Its something that I tend to use very often and figured I should tackle it during the installation of the boot shock as its one of the points that needs to be removed.

I rate this a simple job and was done in less than 10 minutes which included installing a BMW air freshener kit.

Once the clips have been removed, pull off the carpet to gain access to the spring at the back.

I need to get my boot springs replaced as well. The boot has started to open quite vigorously and makes quite a big noise when it hits the point where it should be fully opened. Bounces about there 2 or 3 times as well.

Nice Ray, Clean tail pieces really pick up the rear end.

Please send me the part numbers for the clip and the air freshner.

@billionairebum So far it works as indented, I only got the first real use this morning on my way to work. I got it more for the slim design and look tbh

As many of you know, I have been haunting for a set of 20" wheels for the car.
I am please to announce that the search is finally over.
It might not be everyone's taste but I am happy with the look and even though it is not the wheel I wanted(style 343m) I think these look pretty awesome :smilebounce:
