Shew I’m on75k and I was thinking I had engine issues but wasn’t the case.
What’s your plans for when the plan is out?

What Plan? hahaha, Motorplan has been out since 120k km.
I hope that with care and good maintenance I dont encounter any major issues. :tiptoe:

This will soon be another prime example of what a high miler should be like.

Great work Ray :cartel:

Little update that I forgot to add from March :hammerhead:
I Noticed that I had a leak from the tappet cover gasket and decided to tackle it before it got worse. Millage replaced: 164k km. I consider this to be a std maintenance item on N5x cars.
Next on the list, is a replacement intercooler. I noticed that my Intake temps run very high, about 20 degrees more than ambient.
Thankfully there isnt much rush for this now seen as we entering winter, but will definitely be added before we get into summer temps. Finding a replacement for the F10 is no easy task, goodies are really limited and come with huge price tags. From my research so far, the two decent options are Wagner and VRSF, wagner is just short of $1000 which excludes shipping and customs. From F10 Post, VRSF seems to be dropping the ball but is significantly cheaper than the competitor.

The Motor seems clean for such high millage, I will continue the maintenance with shorten service intervals and engine flush on every 2nd to 3rd service. Thankfully I have not experience any major issues, I will try my best to be proactive to prevent catastrophic failure.

Thanks Guys, Love the F14 wheels, does anyone local stock them?:tiptoe:

Visited ZF for an inspection and service, I was a bit concerned as my millage is a bit high now @ 170k km, The great news is that the box is in perfect health, I must be honest, I was surprised as the report came back better than my wife's lower millage 335i which got serviced last week.

These 8 speed boxes are amazing, I would recommend anyone with a high mileage car to go get it checked it, you might be surprised that the box is still in good health and can be serviced.

Update 2.1 due to posts been removed.

It was time again for an oil change. I decided to throw in a bottle of Ceratec this time around. It definitely works as intended.
I immediately noticed that the motor ran smoother and produced cooler oil temps.

After the oil change I got busy with the cabin filter replacement, which in my opinion is a royal pain in the a$$. Like literately a pain that was produced while maneuvering into all sorts of positions to remove the panels to gain access to the filters.

If you own a F10 and plan on doing it, here are some pointers:
1. Disconnect the battery (Remove the negative terminal)
2. Remove the side panel screw located at the back of the center console
3. Remove two screws holding up the cover which houses the airbag.
4. Remove the four screw to the cabin filter housing bracket.
5. Remove the old filters
6. Install the new filters... IMPORTANT, make note that the new filter will have arrows which should point TOWARDS the cabin and INTO the car
See pics below. :smilebounce:
