I got the behr, guy said he has had many returns of the plexis that he does not even stock them

So BMW did not have stock of the Expansion bottle mounting bits so my cars sitting peacefully in the driveway waiting for 2mro afternoon..

Did not let this stop me working on the car, so I cleaned the engine compartment, gave all the white painted areas a nice clean, now its nice and clean and shiny.. I hate having a dirty engine compartment..

why do you need new mounting bits? Did you break them?

When I was removing the thing, I noticed that the expansion bottle was loose at the top, after removing saw the mounting piece was broken, but also the bottom piece where the expansion bottle connects, the plastic was brown and soft like the top part of radiator. so decided to replace as well

aah ok, on the 6 cylinder models its a pain in the ass to get the expantion tank off

Was a mission removing any of the pipes as they have been on there a while..


Finished up today, all seems fine, no leaks anywhere.. Will keep an eye out over the next few days.
