This is sad. It is such a beautiful stretch of road. When you're there, you just wanna put your foot down and let loose...

I've been up and down the R21 at... some kilometres per hour *cough* and I've never seen a cop car a camera or anybody getting stopped

We need to find out which part of the R21 these arrests are taking place

Cois will hopefully be able to tell us. I am assuming that it is after the Engen as this is the only place I seen some cops around.

That is bad we really need a new route for the speed that some of us were doing over the weekend we would have been included in those 29 for sure.:blab:

It's just SOOOO hard to behave on that stretch. I constantly find myself doing at least 130km/h :fencelook:

Not just the R21, but the N1 as well, near New Road on Friday night.

Strange how none of these people were killed or seriously injured, considering how "dangerous" speeding is.

It's not the speed, but the sudden stop from that speed.

Funny that that there's no reports about them removing un-roadworthy vehicles from the roads. These are way more dangerous than roadworthy speeding cars.:banghead:

Guess it boils down to who are more willing to pay fines?:bangdesk:

+1

A wise man once said, "speeding is only dangerous if you hit something"

True.

There was once talks of companies getting commission for prosecutable (not sure if that is a word) fines. So I guess its more important to chase a quota than to stop a taxi driver for driving like gonorrhea infected d!ck.

They always tend to pick on the guys that speeds.

But you guys are right they need to realise which cars are more dangerous on our roads. Or make a lane like in America where there are no speed limit.

But whats even more dangerous are the guys that go into the fast lane infront of guys that keep at 120km\h while they are only doing 60-80 km\h

i think the problem would be reaction time, condition of vehicle and road surface and the state of mind of other road users, when you are driving in the 200km range.

even if its a dog or something that runs out in front of you, at 250kph you have a dangerous situation.

maybe standard infrared/night vision fitment?
