Price increase?

Does anyone know when or if there is a BMW SA price increase for for new cars for 2013...seems my M135i which is on order from October will not make it to the dealer before the end of december. Apparently this means a price increase may apply, which is a bit irritating.

I suppose in theory they could discount it back to the original price but said dealer is not entertaining discounts because they are buying M135i's and selling them as used/demo cars at a 20-30k premium for those willing to pay to jump the waiting list...

I have put down a deposit and signed an OTP. Small print on the OTP says the prevailing list price at time of delivery applies though.

Which dealership are you purchasing from? I too would insist on the old price, fine print or not, else they should pay you interest on your deposit for the period that you've waited... just my 2c worth.

The deposit wasn't that big for the interest on it to make much of a difference.

I'm hoping the price increase won't be effective from 1 jan so it won't be an issue, but want to pre-empt it by speaking to management at the dealer if it's going to be an issue.

Just spoke to my buddy at Autobahn, he said increase date has not been confirmed by BMW SA as yet, but normally they are advised of the increase at the beginning of the month prior to increase and therefore they are doubtful that the increase will be 1st of Jan. They seem to think that the 1st of Feb is more likely.
